2025 Speedy Morris Award Honoree

Kyle Meakim

Varsity Boys Head Coach, St. Anastasia

The Speedy Morris Service Award is given annually to a volunteer who embodies Speedy’s commitment to Coaches vs. Cancer and the Philadelphia sports community.

Kyle Meakim is the Varsity Boys Head Coach at St. Anastasia, as well as the Vice-President and Coach for 3 Leaf Basketball, a high school basketball exchange program between Philadelphia and Ireland.

Kyle’s involvement with the Coaches vs. Cancer School & Youth Initiative began in 2016 when he was the Varsity Boys Head Coach at St. Bernadette, where he coached for 16 years, and started the St. Bernadette vs. St. Dorothy Coaches vs Cancer Challenge. He also started the St. Anastasia vs St. Pius X Coaches vs. Cancer Challenge in 2022. These events to date have raised over $50,000.

We could not be more thrilled to be honoring Kyle with this year’s Speedy Morris Service Award and are incredibly grateful for his unwavering support of our mission and the impact he has made in youth sports in Greater Philadelphia!
